From their stargazing poetic wish pieces to their now-famous Orreries, Van Cleef & Arpels has always embraced the celestial in their timepieces. Their latest addition though is worthy of having a constellation of its own.
Continuing their partnership with astronomy specialist Christiaan van der Klaauw, the Lady Arpels Planétarium depicts the planets and moon in their orbits in real-time. If you’re not too up on your own year-five science, there’s even a key to the semi-precious orbs so you can be sure what’s what. It’s a fantastic complication (made all the more fantastical with an aventurine dial and diamond-set case) that continues Van Cleef & Arpel’s special relationship with the stars.
