The Ulysse Nardin Freak Innovision 2 Concept was, as the name suggests, not the most sensible of timepieces. You wouldn’t wear it to the office, let’s say. It was though an impressive prototype and one that they’ve now brought to production with the Freak Vision.
A more practical take on the outrageous design, it streamlines the host of different innovations of the concept into a more everyday timepiece. Still, that’s not saying much. It includes Grinder (not that one), Ulysse Nardin’s ultra-efficient self-winding system, their signature Anchor escapement and a silicum-bladed self-compensating balance.
Granted it might still not be right for officewear, but we’re just glad to see the Freak’s automatic version finally make it to market.
